Let me introduce myself

Hello, my name is Sommy Echezona. I am a wedding & events planner based in Cambridgeshire specialising in creating the most glorious weddings and events in the UK and abroad.

I LIVE for the movie like moments in life and love experiencing different stories that really showcase who you are.

My background is in acting and musical theatre, so therefore, producing a production on a large scale has so many similarities to a wedding or event.

I work from my home in Huntingdon, where I live with my husband and dog Preston. Planning many weddings and events for myself as well as my clients, I am sure we can discuss all the celebration gossip happening at the moment.

When creating weddings & events, I focus on YOU; YOU as an individual couple, YOU as a person or YOU as a company. I love to see what ideas and thoughts truly make you who you are and we work together to showcase those ideas in your wedding & event. This is what makes it YOUR perfect occasion.

I have always been a creative person, coming from an acting background. However, the other half of me has always been highly logistical throughout my work and personal life (my family think I might be a bit controlling but hey ho!). This is what makes me a great planner & stylist.

I want to help you create the most perfect wedding and event! This is what I want to do in my life, to experience the movie like moments, to be a part of your occasion that showcases who you are in every possible way. This is the reason why I created M.Fiore Events.

What does a planner do?

A planner’s job is to work with you to create your best wedding/event. Your planner is involved either early on in the process or a couple of months before the special day. A planner will talk through your vision, help you prioritise the most important elements for you, help determine your budget and how to distribute it to different elements of your wedding/event.

A planner will source vendors and suppliers that fit within your budget and aesthetic, help with the logistics of your day, be there to set up and clear up and fix any mishaps along the way! In addition, some planners offer styling, meaning they will style and design the look of the wedding/event.

What sort of weddings & parties do you plan?

Over at M.Fiore Events, I plan and style weddings for couples who want something a little different or want to make sure their wedding really showcases who they are, who want to really show their fun nature and romance throughout the whole day. I plan and style weddings ranging from but not limited to, dry hire, luxury and boho chic.

I also plan and style parties for individuals and companies that want to show their guests or colleagues a WOW factor for their launch event, dinner party, birthday party, anniversary, engagement etc.

How do I know if I need a planner?

Weddings and Events can be quite complex to plan due to the amount of suppliers you have to source and be in contact with. You might need a planner if you have a stressful job, limited time to plan, someone to bounce off inspiration for themes and designs for your day, living outside of the area you are planning your event in and or managing the day itself.
